Drawing from the model at Imagine Gallery + Academy

I had a good time drawing from the model Imagine Gallery + Academy. It is located on the upper floor at the Factory at Franklin Tennessee. They have the session every other week with a costumed model. Visit Imagine Gallery + Academy for more information and join us. The more the merrier.

I don’t remember the model’s name but she wore a nice long black dress and posed by a table with a wine bottle and wine glass.

I moved on over to the other side and drew her in my Strathmore Grey toned sketchbook and highlighted with a White Prismacolor. I use conte’ sometimes, but Prismacolor doesn’t smear like chalk. Gotta keep some fixative handy when using Conte’. I also use white gouache to highlight sometimes. Gouache and Prismacolor I cannot erase when I screw up like I can using Conte’. Choices choices, I am no purist!

Here she is sideways,

I did one more before the session ended and zeroed in on the hand, wine glass and waist.
