I don’t know what dog fighting has to do with tobacco… both are bad, but I liked the pen work from this 1912 advertisement.

So busy with everything from building my Team Beachbody business, practicing keyboards, full time job and my own fitness training I still have to get in my painting and drawing! Thankfully with with my Beachbody routines from Insanity, P90X to Les Mills Body Pump I knock out my workouts in less than an hour. This day and age with rising healthcare costs it very important to stay fit and eat right. Helps keep the doctors away. Plus you look and feel a hell of a lot better. Kia Kaha! Contact me and I can help you out.

Les Mills Body Pump Live

Posted by on Apr 29, 2012 in Blog | 0 comments

I got invited to a live Les Mill’s class at Golds Gym in Murfreesboro TN Saturday morning. An hour of pump and then Sports Attack. A whole mess of calories kaput. Gina Whitney was the instructor. She was great and had a great music mix. I vaporized my Shakeology when I got home! Beachbody hit another home run teaming up with Les Mills. Once you do the home version you will want to do it in a group. Golds Gym in Murfreesboro is a great place to go for Live Les Mills.

Les Mills Body Pump

Finishing up my 3rd week of Les Mills Body Pump. Upped the weights pretty much as it was getting too easy. The “Rep Effect” is kicking in good now. I bet I take some off when the longer workouts start! I really like the way Les Mills and Beachbody teamed up on this one. The Les Mills community is quite a “tribe” and I  hope more people join. These Les Mills DVD’s ease you into the workout routine as opposed to P90X and Insanity. With those you are going extreme at the first workout!

Les Mills Body Pump by BeachBody

Posted by on Apr 3, 2012 in Blog | 0 comments

Just started Les Mills Body Pump this week. Very jazzed about this program. Mike French from the Insanity Asylum just completed it and loves it.

In a nutshell from Team BeachBody,

“Engineer your perfect body with LES MILLS PUMP. This barbell-based rapid weight loss and accelerated strength-training program incinerates calories to help give you the ultimate tight, toned, and lean body you want. The secret is THE REP EFFECT, which requires that you use lighter weights at a higher rate of repetition so you can burn up to 1,000 calories per workout and get leaner faster. The system includes your very own barbell—the secret weapon designed to speed up your strength training and fat loss. Your kit comes complete with a set of 2 5-lb. and 2 10-lb. weighted plates.”

I am doing some Insanity and Asylum routines on my “off days”.  Gonna be good!

Memory sketch from one of my motorcycle rides out near Woodbury Tennessee. Early cool spring afternoon. The trees are ready to burst out green and the low sun made the blue shadows happen. (gouache 5×7)

Insanity Max Interval Circuit

Posted by on Mar 20, 2012 in Blog | 0 comments

Shaun T. is correct when he intros Insanity Max Interval Circuit. “Are you ready to get insane? This is Max Interval Circuit and it’s going to kick your butt!” This is one of the hardest if not the hardest workout I have done in the whole Insanity series. Sometimes I think Max Plyo is the hardest. Depends on the week I guess. Both kick my butt!  Seems like the clock keep mocking me because the workout is so long. A few seconds shy of 60 minutes. Strange, once I get past the 25 minute mark the rest flies by. The Shakeology has really made a difference in my workouts. Chock full of good stuff. I also eat a banana an hour or so before a hard workout like Insanity. Quick energy source that digests quick. Cheap too! My mom gave me that tip a long time ago. (Moms are smart)

That’s my 50 year old back after some Max Intervals. Back problems? Nope.

My 50 year old Back

Spring is upon us and swimsuit season approaches. Insanity will put your body in the place you want it to be in time for the pool! Guaranteed.

Asylum Game Day Workout

Posted by on Mar 5, 2012 in Blog | 0 comments

GameDay workout flat wore me out this afternoon. No fuel in the tank left for Overtime. Must be getting old….Enjoying the Asylum/P90X/Insanity hybrid and am seeing some added improvement since completing the Asylum. Good stuff! No fluff…just makes you strong! Enjoying Gareth Emery’s Concrete Angel with Christina Novelli’s vocals in my cardio trance mix. Bliss

Asylum Relief is 25 minutes of slow “feel good” stretching. I have been sore from starting the Asylum/P90X hybrid. This helped recover from that P90X Chest and Back routine. It’s all good. P90X Legs and Back tomorrow.
